The JetBlue, Ford and SoftBank-backed weather data provider hiked its overall funding to over $185m as it rebranded from ClimaCell.

ClimaCell, the US-based weather intelligence provider backed by air carrier JetBlue, carmaker Ford Motor Company and telecommunications and internet group SoftBank, rebranded to Tomorrow.io yesterday having raised $77m in series D funding.

Investment firm Stonecourt Capital led the round, which also featured Highline Capital, while SoftBank was identified as an investor despite not being named in any of the company’s earlier rounds.
