I was super honoured and excited to hear first hand Roland Manger, co-founder and partner at venture capital firm Earlybird, in the prep call before Saturday's Tiecon keynote.

There were powerful insights and leadership from a visionary investor behind Peak Games, UiPath and a host of others and you can hear his next pick for decacorn success coming out of Serbia.

Manger did reference the amazing work being done by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) through its Star Venture program and VC fund commitments in the southeast Europe and Mediterranean region and companies, such as AvidBeam, which presented at the last GCV digital forum.

As Manger will say on Saturday, the crucial next step beyond the increased flow of venture capital is the local entrepreneurs to also stay independent and then give back in the year the Indian entrepreneurial community has done through the TIE association over nearly 30 years.

Giving back and local corporate venturing units from the emerging scale-ups will reinforce the virtuous flywheel effect already gaining speed.
