The hotel search and booking engine has launched its site in beta, and currently offers choices from its six corporate founding partners and their affiliates.

News provider Financial Times (FT) said UK-based Sandpit and Germany-based German Media Pool had both struck a deal each.

AOL through its corporate venturing unit AOL Ventures joined publisher the New York Times Company, venture capital firm True Ventures, and angel investors Scott Kurnit (chief executive of AdKeeper) and Howard Lindzon (chief executive of StockTwits) in backing Appssavvy.
