Comcast Ventures and Liberty Global are joined backing the US-based performance marketing company by Foundry Group

The top-line growth in 2011 comes after the healthcare software provider secured its first institutional investment the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association's venture fund and its manager Sandbox Industries.

AOL Ventures-backed SalesCrunch made the offer, plus 15% equity in itself, for online meeting software company WebEx, which was bought by Cisco for $3.2bn. Cisco labelled the move "a cute publicity stunt".

The India-based IT company follows up a $45m round from investors including Intel Capital, opening a UK office.

The New York-listed alternative asset manager adopts security technology WatchDox and invests in the company in a corporate venturing-style deal.

Visual computing software company Mersive, which has technology used in military simulations, wins backing from venture firm set up by a management including top executives at US-based defence contractor Blackbird Technologies and the CIA's quasi-corporate venturing unit In-Q-Tel.

Alleghany Capital Corporation takes its overall investment in patent research company Article One Partners to $12m.
