Randeep Wilkhu, senior investment manager at T-Venture, and Robert Dighero, angel investor and partner at Passion Capital, have joined Smarkets as board members.

In July, Rex Health Ventures, a $10m fund managed on behalf of the eponymous community non-profit hospital, invested $500,000 in Aerial.

Dell Ventures led the round that climbed to $51.6m once the seed stage was included. Other strategic investors rather than any venture capital firm filled out the round.

Veduca, a Brazil-based online video platform for educational content, raised $740,000 in its seed round from a consortium including Macmillan Digital Education, which also backed Easyaula, an online educational marketplace that makes it easy for people to learn anything from anyone.

Alongside Japan-based B Dash in the syndicate were venture capital firms Pinehurst Advisors and Ardent Capital and Dan Neary. 8capita provided seed money to E27 last year.
