Mundipharma will invest a further $50m in Infinity Pharmaceuticals in 2013 to finance the development of an oral inhibitor.

Remedy Health Media is acquiring the online health company, which has raised almost $60m from backers including Interactive Corp. and the Carlyle Group.

The pharmaceuticals company, which is backed by investors including corporate venturing funds from GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca, has filed for an initial public offering which could raise up to $80m.

Biopharma company AstraZeneca has increased the capital in its corporate venturing fund to $400m, as it invests in life sciences company NeuProtect.

The life sciences technology company has taken its funding past the $15m mark with mutual insurance firm Sham co-leading the round.

Biopharmaceutical company Zedira has followed up funding from High-Tech Gruenderfonds and R-Biopharm by licensing development of its celiac disease treatment to Dr Falk.

The pharmaceutical company has received the second tranche of a $91m series D round backed by companies including GE, Ipsen and Nordic Bioscience.
