In total, Prosper has raised $95m. In June 2011, CompuCredit, a Nasdaq-listed financing company, reinvested in a consortium providing $17.2m to Prosper.

Alongside PayPal in the B round were venture capital firms Core Capital Partners and RRE Ventures and angel investor David Frankel, who seeded Olo and is now managing partner at Founder Collective.

BBVA has also disclosed its first deals by commiting to two venture capital funds and as part of a $4.05m series B round for SaveUp.

Qiwi, which is named after the Kiwi bird, will invest up to $1m in each start-up.

American Express-backed Radius Intelligence, a US provider of a data technology company platform for B2B marketers to find customers, raised $13m in a series B funding. American Express is an existing investor in the company. The company has raised $28.2m to date.

BillFloat previously raised $4.5m in it's A round in July 2010 from a consortium including PayPal.

Amazon had previously bought in 2008 Shelfari, a virtual bookshelf set up by Josh Hug, co-founder of Remitly with Matthew Oppenheimer.

News provider Fortune said Nigg would have a focus on financial services companies as his Europatweb deals included merging portfolio company Flutter into gambling website Betfair.

Xoom secured $25m in financing from existing investors in 2011, as part of a $58m series F round raised between 2009 and 2011 at $11.45 per share.
