The US property developer has named Hugo Pywell a UK director at its CVC unit, where he has worked since 2022.
Hugo Pywell has been promoted to director at Hines Global Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of US-headquartered real estate developer Hines.
Based in London, Pywell joined Hines in 2017 as a development manager and eventually took up an associate role at the CVC unit five years later.
Most recently, Pywell was a senior associate at Hines Global Ventures, where he helped identify and invest in companies developing digitalisation, sustainability and decarbonisation technologies.
Led by managing director and unit head Kathryn Scheckel, Hines Global Ventures runs its corporate venturing activities through three teams.
Hines Venture Studio supports startups from pre-seed to series A and beyond while Hines Venture Investments works on strategic real estate-related deals. Hines Venture Partnerships & Platform Engagement helps portfolio companies access Hines’s resources.
