The cloud automation software company has taken its funding to nearly $16m after a series C round, with Google, Cisco and VMware joining as investors.

Corporate venturing unit Google Ventures, computer networking corporation Cisco and software company VMware all contributed to the $8.5m series C funding round for US-based automation software company Puppet Labs, on Tuesday.

Also participating in the round were venture capital firms Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and True Ventures, and principal investment firm Radar Partners, the three previously making up Puppet Labs’ series B investors.
