Alba Zurriaga will focus on digital health in her new role after four years at Sanofi Ventures.

Alba Zurriaga Carda has joined MSD Global Health Innovation Fund, the investment arm of US pharmaceutical company MSD, as investment director after four years at Sanofi’s startup investment arm.

Zurriaga said on LinkedIn that she would be focusing on next-generation digital health technologies.

She joined Sanofi Ventures at the start of 2022 as director of digital investments as part of the unit’s digital health and data science strategy. Before that she spent nearly three years at 500 Global, first as corporate innovation and venturing manager and then as head of global innovation strategy.

She also did a three-year stint at Deloitte as an innovation consultant and co-founded a millennial-focused tourism startup in Japan.
