Adrian will help grow industry partnerships at Aggie Square, the innovation district anchored by the US university at its Sacramento campus.

UC Davis Health Ventures, the commercialisation arm of the University California, Davis, has appointed Troels Adrian as director of industry engagement.
In his role, Adrian will connect the US university’s researchers, clinicians and founders with companies to jointly develop products, do industry-sponsored research and license technologies.
A priority will be helping establish a UC Davis Health Clinical Test Bed for companies, faculty and clinicians to develop and validate emerging technologies in a real-world clinical environment.
UC Davis Health Ventures runs a venture studio and a fund that invests in life science and healthcare startups spinning out of the university.
Adrian was executive vice president of the Greater Sacramento Economic Council and manager at Prosper Portland, an economic development function for the City of Portland, Oregon, before joining UC Davis.
