Matthew Turner is returning to corporate VC with a senior associate posting at Maersk Growth.

Matthew Turner has joined shipping company Maersk’s venture capital team as senior associate, after a year as chief of staff at construction tech startup Assembly OSM.
“I’ll support the team in identifying new technologies and solutions that can help Maersk achieve its net-zero and transformation goals, while also helping portfolio companies grow,” said Turner in a LinkedIn post.
It’s not Turner’s first foray into corporate VC, having previously helped set up the corporate venturing strategy at Australian construction and real estate company LendLease, where he worked for three years beginning in 2020.
He then joined family office Yajilarra Trust as investment manager for the better part of the year, after which he made a number of angel investments in the energy transition sector, including for startups solar panel technology developer SunDrive, long-duration storage company MGA Thermal, and virtual power plant platforms National Renewable Network and Amber Electric.
