After over a year as head of venturing, George Shelton is founding a trade finance fintech.

George Shelton left his post as head of venturing at corporate venture clienting and commercialisation firm Alchemy Crew Ventures to co-found a new startup.

Before starting at Alchemy Crew a year-and-a-half ago, Shelton spent over a year as founder and innovation manager of companion animal access startup CompanionPass, prior to which he held a number of consultant, marketing and other roles.

He has now co-founded Redpill Verify, a fintech startup looking to optimise trade finance.

“Alongside an exceptional team – we’ve been building,” says Shelton of the new company, which is raising a pre-seed round. “Diving into the creation of a fintech that combines AI, payments, and buyer and seller protection in a completely new way. We’re re-designing the way people think about and engage with trade, and exploring how to eliminate scams and payment issues before money is lost.”
