Adarsh Sekhar is leaving IBM after a decade-and-a-half to lead Lam Capital’s venture investments in one of the world's the fastest growing markets.

Adarsh Sekhar has left IBM after 15 years to lead corporate development and venture investments for Lam Capital, the venture arm of Lam Research, in India.
In the new role, Sekhar will invest in the semiconductor value chain, advanced materials, advanced computing and industry 4.0.
“I will focus on venture investments and strategic growth initiatives supporting the next wave of innovation in the semiconductor and deep tech ecosystem in India,” he said on LinkedIn.
“Semiconductors sit at the foundation of the modern technology stack, and the coming decade will be pivotal for the industry globally and in India.”
He joined IBM as programme director for corporate development in 2011, before moving to IBM Ventures as partner 12 years later to focus on AI and quantum computing startups. He was previously a deal lead with Microsoft’s corporate development team.
