VC investor Nick Sammut will head corporate development at the startup.

Nick Sammut, a former investor at VC firm Brookfield Asset Management, has joined AI cloud scale-up Crusoe to lead corporate development and strategic finance including venture capital investing.
Nvidia-backed Crusoe provides infrastructure for developing and training AI models. Founded in 2018, the company recently raised a $1.4bn series E round, with corporate investors Nvidia and DPR Construction participating in the round.
Sammut said in a LinkedIn post announcing his move that the company is actively hiring for its capital markets and corporate development teams. These functions include investing in startups, Sammut told GCV.
Sammut was an investor at Bay Area VC Brookfield for eight years before joining the startup. He was also an investor at Generate Capital and Fortress Investment Group.
