Elena Sakach has been hired as the newest investment partner at Alphabet's investment unit.

Elena Sakach has been hired as an investment partner at GV, formerly Google Ventures, an investment arm of US-based conglomerate Alphabet.

She will partner with new and existing portfolio companies focused on payments infrastructure, consumer applications and AI-driven financial services.

Sakach spent three years at Coatue Management as a partner and vice president. She also worked at private equity firm TPG as an associate in tech investing.

GV was founded in 2009 and invests in enterprise, consumer and frontier technology sectors. The firm has more than 360 companies in its portfolio.
