Stepan Braginskiy has been promoted to investment manager at Sabic’s strategic unit, having helped lead deals including ReVentas and BioWish.

Sabic Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Saudi Arabia-headquartered petrochemical manufacturer Sabic, has promoted Stepan Braginskiy from senior associate to investment manager.

Based in the Netherlands, Braginskiy identifies and partners with technology startups globally that are focused on decarbonisation, sustainable agriculture and the circular economy.

Since joining Sabic Ventures in 2020, Braginskiy has led investments in companies such as plastic recycling technology developer ReVentas, agricultural biological producer BioWish and Chinese venture capital fund Richland Capital.

Previously based in Russia, Braginskiy served as the chief financial officer at commercial real estate developer ECE, where he co-led the geographical expansion of the business. He was also a senior consultant and engagement manager at consulting firm EY, advising clients across various industries.
