Kate Powell has stepped down from her role as programme manager of corporate strategy at Tyson Ventures, the CVC arm of US-based food processing company Tyson Foods. 

Powell is moving to a senior manager role in the marketing operations at the parent company. She worked in corporate-related roles at Tyson Ventures for more than five years. 

The CVC unit was founded in 2016 and focuses on investing in the consumer sector, including food and beverage technologies. Most recently, Tyson Ventures re-focused on sustainable protein products, with its portfolio including brands such as Mexican Original, Pierre Foods, Like Mom’s, Bryan Foods, Russer Foods and TortillaLand. 
 
Before joining Tyson Ventures, Powell was a project specialist in the enterprise project management office at retail chain Murphy USA. She spent four years at luxury event and catering services company A Fare Extraordinaire, where she served as a senior account executive and staffing coordinator.
