Nick Pappas becomes managing director at GEHA Ventures after advising the unit for over a year.

Nick Pappas is taking over leadership of GEHA Ventures, the VC arm of federal employee health plan provider GEHA, as vice president and managing director, after advising the unit for the better part of two years.
“Over the past 18 months, I’ve had the privilege of advising G.E.H.A’s venture investment programme,” he said on LinkedIn.
“I’m excited to now step into a full-time role leading the platform and building on the strong foundation established over the past few years.”
GEHA leads and participates in early-stage rounds, with investment focused on healthcare, lifestyle longevity, access to care, and sustainability and efficiency in healthcare.
The latest move comes a couple of months after Kiel Dowlin left his position at the helm of the unit, which he had led since 2023.
No stranger to corporate VC, Pappas was managing partner at Philips Ventures for nearly seven years between 2016 and 2023, and more recently was an advisor to Intuitive Ventures.
