Olivia Lyng has announced she has left her role as venture investments and partnership associate at Maersk’s venturing unit.
Lyng joined Maersk Growth in May 2024 as an ecosystem insight manager, moving up to her latest role a year later.
Before Maersk, she worked as an associate at Antler, a Danish early-stage VC firm, where she was responsible for scouting in Denmark. This was her first venture capital role, following stints with consultancy firms.
Maersk Growth was launched in 2017 and has made more than 40 investments since then. In 2023, its mandate broadened to include venture clienting, where it partners commercially with startups but does not take equity stakes. It shifted its equity investment programme to mainly target sustainability startups.
Recent investments from the unit include C1 Green Chemicals, a German startup making green methanol production technology. In October last year, it backed Altris, a Swedish sodium-ion battery maker.
