Illumina Ventures alumnus Noel Lee has moved up to partner at Novo Holdings, just eight months after being hired as a principal in its Growth Investments team.
Novo Holdings, the investment arm for Danish pharmaceutical producer Novo Nordisk, has promoted Noel Jee to partner.
Jee joined Novo Holdings in May last year as a Bay Area-based principal for its Growth Investments team, following two years in the same role at healthcare investment firm Sofinnova Investments. He has experience in working with therapeutics, life science tools, diagnostics and healthcare platform startups.
Novo isn’t Lee’s first stint in corporate venturing – he spent four years at Illumina Ventures, sourcing deals, doing due diligence and investing as well as helping portfolio companies with operational support. He served as chief operating officer for 10 months at one of them, Rebus Biosystems.
