Tori Orr joins the investment team from JetBlue Ventures.
Tori Orr has joined venture firm NGP Capital as senior associate. She was previously a senior associate at JetBlue Ventures, the former corporate VC arm of aviation company JetBlue which was acquired by aviation investment manager Sky Leasing in May this year.
Originally formed in 2005 as a direct subsidiary of Finnish telecoms company Nokia, NGP Capital rebranded in 2017 as an independent global VC firm with over $1.6bn in assets under management. The firm backs founders from series A to C in sectors such as industrial technology, enterprise software, cybersecurity and edge and data infrastructure.
NGP Capital has around 50 companies in its active portfolio, while its exits include Chinese consumer electronics producer Xiaomi and UK food delivery service Deliveroo.
