Tomomi Natsume will oversee CVC operations for the Japanese conglomerate across its global teams in Asia, Europe, US and Israel.

Tomomi Natsume has been promoted to head of Sumitomo Corporation’s global CVC team.
Before the promotion, Natsume was assistant head of innovation and investment at the Japanese conglomerate where she was in charge of CVC in the US, Europe and Japan.
She is a longtime employee of Sumitomo, having joined the company as an associate in the infrastructure business unit 17 years ago.
Sumitomo operates in several sectors including steel, automotive, transportation and construction, chemicals, and media and digital.
Sumitomo has several CVC teams spread across the US, Europe, Asia and Israel. Its Silicon Valley-based CVC, Presido Ventures, has invested in more than 200 startups over the past 20 years, while its investment team in Asia has invested in more than 100 companies.
