Adele Moynihan has left the investment unit of the Australian subsidiary of UK health insurer Bupa to join a health-tech startup.
Moynihan led Bupa Ventures, as the unit is known, since it was established in February 2024. It was launched with A$20m ($13m) to invest in APAC companies developing predictive and preventative healthcare, genomics and personalised medicine, and remote monitoring technologies.
Bupa Ventures has made four investments to date. In May 2025, it took part in the $1.6m seed round for Vively, which provides a glucose-monitoring programme for pre-diabetic treatment.
Before joining Bupa, Moynihan was an associate partner at Antler, an Australian early-stage VC fund.
Her new role is chief of staff, market expansion at Hola, an on-demand healthcare startup founded in 2020, which arranges GP appointments and other services remotely.
