Cedric Van Duffel has joined Santander-funded fintech investor Mouro Capital as a senior associate after two years at venture firm SVV.

Mouro Capital, the fintech venture capital firm backed by Spanish financial services provider Santander, has hired Cedric Van Duffel as a senior associate.
Founded as Santander InnoVentures before being spun off in 2020, Mouro Capital invests from a $400m fund provided by the bank. It is named after Mouro Island, in the Bay of Santander in northern Spain.
Van Duffel comes to Mouro after two years at AI software-focused VC firm SVV, initially as an analyst before being promoted to associate in January this year.
“I’m excited to support world-class companies building the next wave of fintech and the surrounding infrastructure at the early and growth stages,” Van Duffel said in a LinkedIn post announcing the move.
“I’m diving deeper into fintech and the wider universe around it, from core financial services to the tooling and technology that power them.”
