Alessandro Levi will focus on investments in AI, deep tech and semiconductors in his new role.

Alessandro Levi has joined M12, the corporate VC arm of Microsoft, as an investment partner where he will focus on investments in artificial intelligence, deep tech and semiconductors.

Levi was an investment partner at evergreen fund Longview Innovation where he invested in early-stage physical science technologies and managed the fund’s existing portfolio.

He is also the former founder and CEO of pressure sensor display company Semplus Corp., which he started while working as a researcher at Stanford University.

Founded in 2016, M12 has made more than 300 investments and has a portfolio of over 150 companies. The unit primarily invests in series A and B stages in cloud infrastructure, AI, cybersecurity, deep tech, developer tools, vertical SaaS, Web3 and gaming.
