Peter Lenke, former head of Atlassian Ventures, joins the M12 team to focus on AI, enterprise and the application layer.

Peter Lenke has joined M12, Microsoft’s corporate VC fund, as managing partner on the investment team focused on artificial intelligence, enterprise and the application layer targeting seed to series B.

Prior to this, he spent over two years as head of Atlassian Ventures, the corporate venture unit of enterprise software provider Atlassian, where he managed the unit’s portfolio of approximately 70 companies across the areas of AI, enterprise and B2B software-as-a-service.

Founded in 2016, M12 has since made over 300 investments and has over a 100 active portfolio companies. The unit primarily invests in series A and B stages within cloud infrastructure, AI, cybersecurity, deep tech, developer tools, vertical SaaS, Web3 and gaming sectors.

Recent investments include enterprise-grade AI platform Arcee AI, operational security control platform Reach Security and data processing platform Eventual.
