Ian Medford-Gonzalez leaves Femsa Ventures

Ian Medford-Gonzalez has announced his departure from Femsa Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Mexico-based retail company Femsa.

After serving nearly five years at Femsa Ventures, Medford-Gonzalez has accepted a new position as chief of staff and head of finance at Kuona, a Mexican SaaS company that optimises trade retailers’ promotions.

Medford-Gonzalez began his career at Femsa Ventures in 2019 working as an intern for a year. He then was promoted to investment analyst and later became the firm’s senior analyst between 2021 and 2024.

Founded in 2018, Femsa Ventures invests in the beverage, retail and logistic sectors in Latin America and the US. The firm has 16 companies in its portfolio and has invested in 22 startups such as Clivi, Pacto and Cayena.
