Line Lyst has joined Danish multinational energy company Ørsted as head of innovation. 

Ørsted is one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world, providing sustainable energy solutions including offshore and onshore wind, solar, renewable hydrogen and energy storage. 

Lyst shared in a LinkedIn post about the advantages of cross-functional collaboration in the new team. “There’s a real willingness to build together. Across teams, across disciplines, across silos. [I am] excited about what we can accomplish together to create a world that runs entirely on green energy,” she said. 

Lyst previously worked as a chief entrepreneur at Danish hearing, audio, video and gaming solutions manufacturer GN Group for three years, where she was promoted to set up and lead a digital innovation hub to accelerate new business opportunities and drive growth. 

As part of this role, she also led teams in the US and EU using AI to create better customer experiences and expand the business through new digital sales channels. 

Ørsted also invests and innovates through its CVC unit, Ørsted Ventures, which backs emerging green technologies. 

Most recently, Ørsted invested in US utility-scale renewable energy and storage company Mission Clean Energy in March.
