Saewook Lee has returned to corporate venturing following nearly three years in a VC role.

Saewook Lee has rejoined Applied Ventures, the corporate VC arm of US supplier of semiconductor equipment Applied Materials, as senior investment director.
He brings in over two decades of experience in corporate venture capital, strategic investments and global business development.
Lee was with the unit between April 2019 and February 2022 as senior investment manager, after which he took on the role of managing director, head of US investment at Korean VC firm Woori Venture Partners.
Applied Ventures was founded nearly a decade ago with the goal of investing in startups across the semiconductor value chain. The unit is stage agnostic, investing up to $100m per annum. It has invested in more than 90 companies.
