Jakub Konieczny will now serve as the director of strategic investments at US-based automotive company JM Family Enterprises.

Konieczny leaves Truist Ventures

Jakub Konieczny has left his position as head of investments at Truist Ventures, the corporate venture arm of US-based banking group Truist Financial.

After serving nearly a year as the head of investments, portfolio management and commercialisation at Truist Ventures, Konieczny has moved to JM Family Enterprises, a US-based automotive company, to become director of strategic investments.

Konieczny began his stint at Truist three years ago where he held various positions such as investment principal and investment director. Before joining Truist Konieczny was at Fifth Third Bank for 12 years where he was the principal for acquisitions and strategic investments and the vice president of private equity.

Founded in 2020, Truist Ventures invests in financial services and fintech firms. The unit has 16 companies in its portfolio, including Miri Systems, Savana and Stratyfy.

JM Family Enterprises was founded in 1968 and has invested in companies such as RockED, a provider of micro-learning videos, which entered into a strategic partnership with JM Family Enterprises in 2023.
