Kazuhiko Chuman, former head of Japanese telecommunications company KDDI’s Open Innovation Fund, has moved to Japanese banking group Mizuho Financial as chief business development officer.
Formed in 2002, Mizuho’s group companies include Mizuho Bank and Mizuho Securities, with the former providing debt and occasionally equity financing for startups on a non-strategic basis. The group is a full-service financial institution that provides banking, securities, trust, asset management and research and consulting services.
Chuman was featured on the GCV Powerlist in 2022.
