The corporate venture firm has installed experienced startup CFO veteran Arielle Ring as its president, weeks after being acquired by Sky Leasing.

Arielle Ring has joined JetBlue Ventures, the corporate venture capital firm owned by US-based aircraft leasing service Sky Leasing, as president.
JetBlue Ventures was launched by the eponymous airline operator in 2016 to invest in startups working on the future of air travel. It had built a 22-strong portfolio, in addition to eight exits, before it was acquired by Sky last month.
Ring spent nearly 15 years at aircraft leasing firm BBAM, where she was a senior vice president, before taking on the chief financial officer role at a green hydrogen startup Ohmium. She was most recently CFO for the US arm of Northvolt, the Swedish battery producer that filed for bankruptcy earlier this year.
The move comes in the wake of a three-month stint by Ring as senior advisor at JetBlue Ventures. Ring will lead strategy at the unit while helping its portfolio with fundraising and monetisation, reporting to JetBlue Ventures CEO Amy Burr.
“Arielle brings financial expertise and deep industry knowledge that will be invaluable as we enter our next phase of growth,” said Amy Burr in a statement announcing the news yesterday.
“Her experience complements our leadership team and strengthens our ability to support innovative startups transforming travel and transportation.”
