Iris Jensen, formerly senior associate at the German clean energy company Baywa RE’s CVC arm, has taken up an investment manager role.

German clean energy producer BayWa Renewable Energy (BayWa RE) has promoted Iris Jensen to investment manager for its corporate venture capital subsidiary, BayWa RE Energy Ventures.

Formed in 2018, BayWa RE Energy Ventures focuses on clean energy companies developing technologies such as digitalisation, storage and e-mobility.

Jensen joined the unit in late 2021 as an investment associate before moving up to senior investment associate in March 2023.

She holds an observer role on the boards of three portfolio companies: solar system installation service Zolar, digital circuit platform Blixt, and Pexapark which provides an energy contract management tool.

Jensen was part of utility E.On for more than three years. She held positions including innovation manager and e-mobility solutions developer.
