Koch Disruptive Technologies has promoted Israel-based director Jon Galitzer to a US managing director role.

Jon Galitzer, an Israel-based director at corporate venturing unit Koch Disruptive Technologies, has been appointed managing director.

Launched and backed by US industrial and chemical conglomerate Koch Industries in 2017, the CVC unit invests across seed to late stages in industries strategic to Koch. The global team of 30 people are based in the US and Israel.

As part of the new role, Galitzer has relocated to Washington DC, joining other US managing directors Jon Chisholm, Celeste Dauner, Brendon Durkin and Reed Aldridge, who are all based in Wichita, Kansas, as well as David Mauney in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Healthcare, supply chain, manufacturing, cybersecurity, semiconductors, connectivity, financial technology, enterprise software and energy transformation are some of the focus areas for Koch Disruptive Technologies, which has nearly 60 active portfolio companies globally.

Autonomous drone developer Percepto, 3D imaging technology provider PxE, API security platform Wib Security and Cyrebro, which has built an enterprise security software tool, are among the unit’s portfolio companies in Israel.
