Tu, who has been with Prosus since 2021, will continue to advise the firm over the next year.

Ervin Tu has announced he is stepping down from the president and chief investment officer role at global consumer internet group and technology investor, Prosus Group, which he joined in June 2021.
“Four years ago, I had the privilege of joining Prosus Group with the opportunity to create enterprise value and leave a lasting imprint. I worked alongside an incredible team to create value and shape the future of this remarkable organisation,” Tu said in a LinkedIn post.
At Prosus, Tu focused on investing and leading capital allocation across the group. He also served as an interim CEO of the group for about a year from September 2023.
While Tu did not share an immediate move to another organisation, he said he will continue to advise Prosus Group over the next year.
Prior to this, he worked at Japanese multinational investment company SoftBank as a managing partner at the SoftBank Vision Fund. There, he helped lead investments in companies like Uber and Bytedance, across sectors including transportation, logistics, next-gen media and sustainability.
Before SoftBank, Tu was a managing director in the technology banking group at Goldman Sachs focusing on M&A.
