Ann-Sofie Ekberg spent seven years at Volvo Cars, with the last two-and-a-half years as the head of the CVC unit.

Ann-Sofie Ekberg has left her role as chief executive officer of Volvo Cars Tech Fund, the corporate VC arm of Swedish carmaker Volvo Cars.
Ekberg joined the CVC unit in 2023 when she took over the CEO role. Before that, she spent more than four years in various roles at the parent company that came after a seven-year stint at Volvo Group. She did not disclose her next move.
Volvo Cars Tech Fund was founded in 2018 to invest in and collaborate with startups in mobility, sustainability and digitalisation.
The fund invests directly from the parent company’s balance sheet and engages with startups at various stages – predominantly series A and B, with the occasional seed investment.
