Michal Edelman Tepper has joined ratings provider Fitch’s strategic investment arm, Fitch Ventures, as a senior director.

The move comes after nearly four years at Amex Ventures, the corporate venture capital subsidiary of payment servicers firm American Express. The unit hired Edelman Tepper as an investment manager in 2022, promoting her to senior investment manager in February last year.

“I’m looking forward to continuing to invest and partner at the intersection of financial services, data, and technology – particularly across credit, wealthtech and enterprise workflows,” said Edelman Tepper in a LinkedIn post announcing the move.

“Grateful to the incredible team at Amex Ventures – I’ve learned a tremendous amount and will miss working alongside such thoughtful and talented colleagues.”

Fitch Ventures invests in startups developing data analytics software, big data and machine learning, enterprise, market infrastructure and governance, and compliance technology. It is headed by Gabby Munoz, who also oversees Fitch’s mergers and acquisitions activities.
