Andrew Dash has accepted a new position as the head of GHD Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Australian engineering corporation GHD Group.

Andrew Dash has been promoted at GHD Ventures, the investment arm of Melbourne-headquartered engineering company GHD Group.

After serving five years as GHD Group’s head of infrastructure advisory division, Dash will now serve as the head of GHD Ventures.

Dash began his stint at GHD in 2016, starting as the company’s lead for the strategy and transaction advisory division where he provided commercial and strategic advice to clients in the energy and transport sectors.

Before that Dash spent three years as the principal for professional services firm Shoreline Energy Consulting and spent another four years as the managing director of oil and gas corporation Carbon Energy.

GHD Ventures invests in early-stage companies focusing on technologies in the water, energy and urbanisation sectors. The corporate venture arm has invested in several startups, including water quality detection company Eco Detection and water analytics platform Divirod, which secured $3.6m in bridge funding in 2023.
