Previous head Eduardo Gomez Mendonza has moved on to a new role as executive vice president, strategy in CRH’s Americas division.

Murari Perumalsamy has taken over as the head of CRH Ventures, the corporate VC arm of building products company CRH. He takes over from Eduardo Gomez Mendonza, who has moved on to a new role as executive vice president, strategy in CRH’s Americas division.
Perumalsamy, based in Germany, was previously managing director for Europe at CRH Ventures and has been with the company since 2022 as part of its European strategy and development team. He has over 15 years of experience in strategy, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions in the buildings materials sector.
Commenting on his new role, Perumalsamy said: “Building on the team’s strong foundations, we will continue to invest ambitiously and strategically in innovative companies – working with our businesses and partners to scale solutions that deliver impact for customers and the built environment.”
Before joining CRH, Perumalsamy spent 11 years at construction business Cemex in corporate strategy and M&A roles.
Founded in 2022, CRH Ventures is a $250m fund that invests in climate tech and construction tech startups.
