Michael Buzzo has become the head of BHP Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Australia-based mining company BHP.
Buzzo was the acting head of BHP Ventures for more than a year.
Before joining BHP, Buzzo was a manager of transaction services at KPMG Australia, a subsidiary of professional services network KPMG. He also spent five years as a senior analyst at Deloitte Australia.
Founded in 2018, BHP Ventures has 16 companies in its portfolio and has invested in 22 startups including Ceibo, Plotlogic and KoBold Metals.
