Mascha Bonk has returned to corporate venturing after a stint at a startup.

Hitachi Ventures has hired Mascha Bonk as an investor at its main office in Germany.

In her new role, Bonk will invest in climate, energy and industrial tech startups.

She was chief of staff at AI-driven fertility tech startup Ovum Care where she worked with the CEO in a part-strategy, mostly operations role. Prior to that, she was an investment manager at impact VC firm Ananda Impact Ventures.

Established in 2019 with a $150m fund, Hitachi Ventures has grown to manage over $1bn. The team focuses on early-stage and follow-on investments in the digital, energy and mobility sectors.
