Blom will look for other roles in the investment space following a short sabbatical.

Robert Blom left the helm of Dutch tank storage company Vopak’s venture investment unit after two years.
Currently on a short sabbatical, Blom said he would be interested in exploring opportunities in investments, funds, energy-transition/climate-tech, venture capital or private equity, infrastructure or scale-ups upon his return.
Blom led Vopak’s corporate venture capital unit, which has a portfolio of 20 investments. He was investment director at energy company Eneco’s venture team, where he worked for three years after previously investing at development bank FMO, aquaculture investment firm AquaSpark, as well as starting his own consultancy.
Vopak Ventures’ portfolio includes energy storage provider Enspired, plastic recycling technology developer Infinity Recycling and hydrogen transport startup HSL Technologies.
