The Venture Builder Incubator is part of Edinburgh Innovations, the university's commercialisation service.

Roxana Irina Big has started a new position as programme manager in the tech incubator at Edinburgh Innovations, the commercialisation arm of the Scottish university.

Big was an investment associate at Brose Group, a German car parts manufacturer. She was also a startup programme manager at incubator TUM Venture Labs, a joint initiative of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and UnternehmerTUM, a startup hub.

The incubator at the University of Edinburgh, called Venture Builder Incubator, is a five-month programme for students and staff from Scottish universities who want to start or scale their companies.

Spinouts from the University of Edinburgh have raised £56m ($75m), according to the university. Its startups can tap investment from its venture fund Old College Capital, which has more than 100 investee companies in its portfolio.
