Heike Pfistner, a PhD chemist, takes over from Roland Nunheim, who is moving to a new role at BASF.

Heike Pfistner has joined BASF Venture Capital, the investment unit of the German chemicals company, as managing director.
Pfistner was director of strategic marketing and product management at BASF Stationary Energy Storage division before moving to the venture unit.
She has worked at BASF since 2002 in various roles including head of new business development and head of marketing of organic electronics.
BASF Venture Capital was set up in 2001 to invest in startups and funds related to current and future businesses of BASF.
The CVC’s €250m ($289) evergreen fund invests from seed and series B, taking minority investments between €1m and €5m.
Portfolio companies include pH7 Technologies, a startup developing a sustainable metal extraction process, and DePoly, a plastics recycling technology developer.
