The company veteran takes over the helm of Halliburton Labs.

Andres Cabada became managing director of Halliburton Labs, the startup accelerator programme of US oil servicing company Halliburton, after over a decade in the corporate.

A company veteran of more than 14 years, Cabada was most recently global director for Halliburton’s stewardship and sustainability initiatives. He was also director of asset performance, senior manager for business planning, and M&A integration leader for procurement.

Halliburton Labs accelerates companies in climate tech and sustainability. Current and former cohort startups include thermal storage developer Alumina Energy, modular microreactor company NuCube Energy, waste-to-hydrogen startup Chemergy and drone technology developer LowAlt.

“The work the team has done since inception to build the climate tech/cleantech ecosystem and help startups accelerate by tapping into 100+ years of Halliburton experience is amazing,” said Cabada.

“I look forward to working with entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and our advisory board to deliver the future of energy. Faster.”
