Alok Agrawal has left his role as chief strategy officer and head of ventures at Celestica, where he ran the Canadian electronics company’s CVC activities.
He joined Celestica in late 2019 as VP and head of corporate strategy. In 2024 he founded the company’s CVC unit, Celestica Ventures, and took on the role as head of ventures.
The CVC was set up to target startups and growth stage companies which make technologies using advanced electronics. Its portfolio companies include Mainspring Energy, which provides onsite power generators for a range of businesses, including data centres, and Aviz Networks, which provides networking services for AI, including software for managing a data centre network. Agrawal was a board observer for Aviz.
In 2024, Agrawal became chief strategy officer for Celestica, a role he held alongside leading the CVC unit. This role was more broadly focused on innovation for the whole company.
Since leaving Celestica, he has set up his own investment advisory firm, Agrawal Capital. He is also an angel investor, recently investing in Machina Labs, a robot-powered manufacturing platform developer.
