The OpenAI Startup Fund, a venture fund related to US-based artificial intelligence and research corporation OpenAI, has raised $15m from unnamed investors, according to TechCrunch.
The new capital was transferred to a special-purpose vehicle associated with OpenAI Startup Fund, called OpenAI Startup Fund SPV II.
OpenAI Startup Fund, founded in 2021, invests in energy, healthcare, technology and education startups. It has 12 companies in its portfolio including home care services provider Ambiance Healthcare.
The fundraising comes after OpenAI announced Ian Hathaway as the new head of the corporate venture fund.
