Following stints at Spanish VC firms, Alvaro Ruiz-Cotorro joins the CVC arm of Tennis Australia, organiser of the Australian Open

Alvaro Ruiz-Cotorro has joined the VC investment arm of Tennis Australia, the organiser of the international tennis competition Australian Open.

Ruiz-Cotorro was an investment analyst at Seaya, a VC firm based in Madrid, Spain. Prior to that, he was an intern with Antai Ventures, based in Barcelona.

AO Ventures closed its first fund in January, with $30m to invest in sport, entertainment, media and health startups. It has not publicised any investments since then.
