Kaija Gisolfi-McCready joins the US defence contractor as an investment associate following a role in cybersecurity VC.

Kaija Gisolfi-McCready has joined US defence contractor Lockheed Martin as an investment associate.

Before, she was a senior analyst at Paladin Capital Group, a VC firm that invests in cybersecurity and digital infrastructure startups.

Lockheed Martin invests in defence and dual-use technologies, primarily through its corporate venture capital unit, Lockheed Martin Ventures, which has invested in over 120 companies since it was established in 2007.

In June, the unit took part in the $47m series A funding round for the US modular drone company Firestorm Labs. That same month, it co-led the $10.9m series A round for Q5D Technologies, which makes robotics technology that assists with putting electrical wiring into products during the manufacturing process.
